summer sisters

On Tuesday and Wednesday of this week, I jumped at the chance to watch my beautiful neices for a few hours each day. These summer sisters are well into a routine at Nana and Papa's house and they helped me to stay on schedule! Park in the morning... pool in the afternoon. This is what my summer vacation has been missing!

On Tuesday... we played with scarves, dressed baby dolls, played outside, played with purses and cell phones, made up a song about apple sauce, and had a surprise lunch with Uncle Kevin.

Sophie grabbed her scarf and packed her "purse" with her cell phone and baby. Ayla... well, she wanted the REAL thing!

On Wednesday, Aunt Lis & Aunt Meg both came to play with these summer sisters. We started the morning at the park. The girls showed us how to take the "secret garden path" to the park!

Rohen's little brother was born June 29, 2011. I had the great pleasure of catching up with my dear friend Cindy and meeting little Noah Robert on his one week old birthday. Rohen is already a great big brother to Noah... he was gentle while holding him and trying to give him his bottle. I can only imagine what the Rigoni house will be like when Noah is as active and funny as Rohen!

Oh, this has gotta be the good life

Finally. I have my computer back from rehab and time on my hands to post about some of my summer happenings. Kevin and I spent a long weekend at the Stasiak cottage on Birch Lake with friends and Kristine's family...I can't remember a fourth of July weekend that I wasn't there!

A weekend in northern Michigan seems to define summer for me... basking in the sunshine, barbecuing, hammocks, coolers and coozies, hours on the boat, bonfires, "the snack table", and freckles popping out for the first time!
