It's been awhile... and I haven't been too good with taking pictures and bringing my camera around with me. I'm feeling like I hardly have anything to document the months of January and February. Sad. Well, there is only room for improvement and I plan to make up for it starting now.
Last month, I took a quick weekend trip to Naples, Florida with my dear friend Carrie to visit our dear friend Molly. There is nothing like a weekend with old friends. Nothing. Each day included hours upon hours of fabulous conversations- deep talks about the future, emotional talks about the present, and funny laughs about our past. We ate delicious seafood (I really tried to limit my intake), treated ourselves to many fruity cocktails (virgin for me), hit the beach, and took a crazy bike ride around Naples (let's just say that my beach cruiser had a basket with a bag of Doritos that continued to fly out of the basket into the street because of the bumpy roads!). But mostly... we just talked and that was perfect. These girls know me better than I know myself sometimes and these friendships run deep.
I can't believe these are the only photos we have from the weekend. Shame on us. I do however have a picture of my view from Molly & Fritz's guest room! It was a lovely way to wake up each morning :)

Back home in Michigan, Kevin and I celebrated Valentine's Day by going out to a Brazilian Steakhouse for dinner. It was quite the experience!
We tried to reminisce about Valentine's Days from the past and we couldn't remember as many as we would have liked. We remember last year... we walked out of a fancy quiet restaurant to go to a local bar... and a few years before when we sat court side at a Pistons game... and then there was one very dramatic V-day in high school! Other than that, they all sort of blur together!
We are getting so excited for the arrival of our baby boy. We have the nursery painted and the furniture and bedding is all set in the room (pictures to come soon). Baby Benson is moving ALL the time now and letting his presence be known! Kevin finally felt him kick last week after several weeks of me saying, "Can you feel THAT?"... "How about THAT?"
Here is a picture for my friends & family far away of me at 25 weeks- 15 weeks to go!
I can't wait to have a moment with my little boy like my sisters are having here....
love to all and happy happy birthday to my dear mommy-

You look so beautiful in that pic of your belly. Just beautiful. I can't wait to see you with your little guy. I can't think of a more special person to a mother. He is already lucky and he doesn't even know it.
